Combining my ideas from the previous posts, I wanted to play around with scale and make a much larger anthropomorphised vessel to explore how this would change the impact it has on a viewer.

I began with some very quick sketches, plotting a few different vessel shapes to inspire the shape I wanted. In this piece I wanted to focus on a vase-like vessel rather than a kitchen ceramic (such as a jug) because I want to explore with combining sculpture and the domestic, experimenting with making a vase a sculptural work.

Furthermore, I have planned four legs instead of two on this piece to allow the weight to be supported fully. Because I want to make this a larger piece (about 6kg of clay) more legs will keep it stable and upright.
